Inside: We’ve all heard that you need to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. What if I told you some ideas for self-care that will allow you to double up your self-care in half the time?
Tips for Self Care
Here are some quick and easy ideas for self-care that you can start TODAY! I’ve been doing self-care for years, but was always calling it “me time”. It’s essentially the same thing and is so important to saving your day-to-day sanity. On top of being an introvert, I also need time to decompress at the end of my teaching day. That could be driving home in silence, reading a magazine, going for a walk, doing a puzzle, coloring, or putting on a face mask…basically anything that could carve out some time for me.
Do not feel guilty for taking time out for YOU! Throw away that mindset now, seriously! Self-care isn’t selfish! Keep repeating that to yourself!
You know we can’t pour from an empty cup, so let’s start filling up our cups with things that make us happy!
Many years ago I discovered a wonderful time-saver when I was in college. I wouldn’t necessarily call it “self-care” as much as “being efficient”, but I would dry my hair and read my textbook at the same time.
Years later this sparked an idea!
